Born: Babylon (today is considered Babil province which is Iraq) Lived about 100 years prior to the destruction of the 2nd temple. Died: Jerusalem. It is told that he lived to be 120 years old.

Choni HaMe'agel lived at the time of the Chashmonaim, at the time of Queen Shlomit Alexandra. Exact dates are undetermined, lived about 200 years before the destruction of 2nd temple.
Rabbi Israel Abuhatzeira known as Baba Sali
Rabbi Israel Abou-Hatzira was a Moroccan-born rabbi and kabbalist. The name Abou-Hatzira has become legendary in fact, story and song among wide circles of modern-day Jews. This is due in no small measure to the impact on the Jewish consciousness of the life of the Baba Sali, the "Praying Father" of the Moroccan Jewish community, who made Aliyah to the Land of Israel in the middle of the twentieth century.

His father Yosef was poor and uneducated, as his father had been before him and his grandfather before that. As a child Akiva received no education. Instead of attending school, the boy helped to support his family by taking care of their sheep.

Rabbi Isaac Luria - The Holy Ari
Rabbi Isaac Luria was a Jewish mystic in Safed. His name today is attached to all of the mystic thought in Safed.
